My second in a series of watercolour journal pages is complete! It covers the main events from today which were a long ass brunch and Car Free Day on Main Street.
The brunch was long because the server forgot to punch in our order after taking it. I felt bad for her because I’ve done that at least once when I worked as a server and I know how shitty it feels knowing they’re probably super pissed at you. I was also super hangry, though and was quite disappointed to hear it when she told us. She did make it up to us by bringing a free muffin and some cards for free coffees.
Despite the rain, I had a good time at Car Free Day on Main Street. Graham said he did too, but I’m not so sure he was enjoying walking around in the rain as much as I was. I just love looking at the things people make! It’s always so inspiring.
I also love all of the animals I get to see. So many dogs and several parrots. (?) 🙂
Here’s the finished page! I went for a two-page spread this time because I just had so much to document. I’ve had a goal to get better at drawing people, and I think I’m making a good start at that!
I hope you enjoyed this page as much as I enjoyed making it. If you’re from Vancouver, did you make it out to one of the Car Free Days this year? Which one’s your favourite?
